I THE DETROIT NEWS Obituaries Arthur B. Valade Realtor was fervid Methodist, bowler Arthur B. Valade, 79, of Sterling Heights, a retired active in the Mr. Valade Mr. Valade real estate agent Methodist Church, died of a heart attack Friday, Aug.
23, 1991, in Beaumont Hospital in Troy. Mr. Valade owned the Valade Realty Exchange Co. of Detroit that was started by his father, Charles. Mr.
Valade ran the business for several years before retiring 15 vears ago. He graduated from the University of Michigan extension course in real estate. He was born in Detroit, and graduated from Eastern High School. Mr. Valade was active in the old Asbury Methodist Church.
He was a trustee, superintendent of the Sunday school, Sunday school teacher and choir director and played the church piano and organ. Later, he attended Sterling Heights United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. He was a tenor, and once traveled with an evangelical group to entertain at other churches. He played the piano and sang with the late song leader, Bob Blatchford, and the late minister, the Rev. Frank Greer.
Mr. Valade was an enthusiastic bowler who participated in the sport until two years ago. His wife, Phyllis, died in 1983. Surviving are daughters, Judith Blaharski and Barbara, a member of The Detroit News sports department; and two brothers. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m.
